Proton Cars Australia has continued its sales resurgence with 123 units sold in March 2014.

This figure is up by 80 units on March last year, representing a staggering 186% increase, according to official VFACTS figures released today.

It’s the strongest start in two years for the brand with first quarter sales up by 119 units or 75% compared to last year.

Sales have been strong across the model range with the Prevé sedan and Exora seven-seater continuing to grow, since their launch late last year. This will be assisted with the launch of the new 1.6 litre turbo Suprima S hatch, which has now started to arrive in dealer showrooms.

PROTON Cars Australia’s General Manager Sales & Marketing Billy Falconer said; “It’s pleasing to see the sales continue to grow this month in such a competitive market.

“We are seeing solid returns on our marketing efforts and our dealer network continues to grow, so this all bodes well for our future”.
