Sponsorship

Proton Cars Australia is proud to sponsor or be affiliated with the following people and organisations.

  • Proton West Tigers

Proton is the major sponsor of the PROTON Wests Tigers NRL Rugby League Team and has recently re-affirmed its support for the leading NRL club after four years of supporting the 2005 Premiers.

Proton is the only car company in the world to have a tiger as its emblem and the company saw that it was logical step to use the Wests Tigers to increase its awareness in Australia.

  • Rachael Finch

Upon being crowned Miss Universe Australia 2009, the winner Miss Rachael Finch received a fantastic new Proton Persona. Rachael was overwhelmed, stating in her speech “I am so excited to be driving away in a brand new Proton”.

Rachael has happily agreed to become an ambassador for Proton and will be working closely with the brand going forward. Miss Finch will be the face of the new Proton S16, featuring in both TV commercials and print advertising campaigns. Rachael has recently travelled to Malaysia where she launched the new S16 sedan before jetting to India for fashion shoots.

Proton Cars Australia is proud of Rachael’s achievements to date and look forward to helping her achieve her next lot of goals over the next 12 months.

  • Top Gear Australia

The best advertising is free advertising and even better again is free advertising with great feedback. This is exactly what the Proton Satria Neo has been receiving on the set of Top Gear Australia.

Each episode the Satria Neo is driven (extremely hard) by a different celebrity. The ‘star in a bog standard car’ segment gets fantastic feedback and is watched by hundreds of thousands of people around Australia each week.

With handling engineered by Proton subsidiary Lotus the Satria Neo has proved to be an extremely strong performer on the Top Gear Australia track.

  • Miss Universe Australia

Proton Cars Australia is a proud sponsor to Miss Universe Australia.

The Miss Universe Australia organises acknowledge that the events success would not be possible without the support of the preliminary sponsors. In 2009, over 7,000 young Australian women entered into the event, an increase double from the previous year.

The lucky (though thoroughly deserving in our eyes) winner for 2009 is Miss Rachael Finch, who was provided a brand new Proton Persona GX upon receiving the honoured crown.

  • Manly Sea Eagles

Proton has recently begun a sponsorship agreement with the 2008 NRL Rugby League Premiers, The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. The proud sporting club is also the 2009 World Club Champions.
